November 2012 was presented to the professionals of the ICS and IAS Girona the project that should govern the future of the two institutions, which aims to efficiently approach the two healthcare organizations, while maintaining their juridical independence,so that  professionals  working  together in building the future. The ultimate goal is to improve the health care of the citizens of our country.

The basis of the project is the talent of professionals and the certainty that, adding it will allow Girona more competitive in attracting resources and that impact on the patient, which is the basis and reason of being of the entire strategic alliance. The participation of professionals is another key. The continuous improvement of assistance care, teaching and research is the goal pursued.
